Introduction
Some models of the EZ-Flats Premium machine feature a removable and interchangeable tamp head in order to facilitate labels of varying sizes. The following steps will show how you to remove one tamp head and attach another.
Note: You will need to turn off the air flow to the Premium and bleed off the remaining air pressure before proceeding. Instructions for doing so can be found here.
Removing a Tamp Head
1. Once the air has been bled from the machine, the tamp head will be sitting on the rollers. | ![]() |
2. Support the tamp head with your hand, and loosen the two black topped screws, twisting them counterclockwise. | ![]() |
Note: The screws have arrows to guide you on how to turn them. For this step, twist in the "UNLOCK" direction. | ![]() |
3. Set the removed tamp head aside. | ![]() |
Attaching a Tamp Head
1. Align the protruding alignment post of the new tamp head with the left side of the applicator's tamp. | ![]() |
2. Gently press the tamp head upward, making sure not to wrinkle the center O ring | |
3. Support the tamp head with your hand and squeeze the two plates together to avoid cross-threading. Tighten the two black topped screws, turning them clockwise. | ![]() |

4. Remove your hand. If the tamp head cannot be pulled away or tilted, it has been fully attached. |
