Introduction
With some operating systems, generating a tradition PostalOne! statement can take a substantial amount of time. The recommended solution to this is to adjust the settings to generate a release file instead of a statement. Release files remove secondary information that is not required by USPS for a PostalOne! submission.
Process
| 1. Open the PC that is running the Dat-Mail application, which is generally a site server. | |
| 2. Double-click the "Dat-Mail" Icon to launch Dat-Mail. | ![]() |
| 3. Click "File' in the header bar. | ![]() |
| 4. Hover over "Program Settings", and select "Program Setup" from the drop-down menu. | ![]() |
| 5. Click the "PostalOne!" tab. | ![]() |
| 6. Select “Only Create Release files”. This setting is active when the button is blue. | ![]() |
| Note: This will remove the Statement Generation Tab. If this tab becomes necessary, re-select the "Generate Statement" setting to undo the above procedure. | |
| 7. Click "OK" to save the changes. | ![]() |
