If mail pieces are to be processed that already have an IMpb, it is possible to configure the software in a manner that will "reuse" this IMpb information.  There are a few different processing methods that may be used, depending on the processing needs for the mailstream.

Reuse IMpb

This option will allow you to capture data from the barcode.  The label will print, but will not include a second IMpb.  If any manual sortation is needed after processing in the Helm is complete, the label can be used for this sortation.  Since the barcode generated by the customer contains their MID, that MID will need to be entered in the Account Profile Editor at the department level as well.

Scan Pass

This option is ONLY for sortation that is performed using the Helm.  This option will allow you to capture data from the barcode.  No label prints, so manual sortation following the initial sort will be difficult or unfeasible.  Since the barcode generated by the customer contains their MID, that MID will need to be entered in the Account Profile Editor at the department level as well.

Second Pass

This option is ONLY for sortation that is performed using the Second Pass Helm.  The IMpb will be read, but no data will be captured and no label will be printed.  Since no label prints, manual sortation following the initial sort will be difficult or unfeasible.  OCR, WABCR, weight, and USPS sort rules are not taken into account in this processing method, as processing uses a sort profile customer-defined sort profile (in the form of a .csv file.  The Helm will only sort by zip using this custom label list and will not reference the USPS label list.
