When connecting two printers to an EZ-Flats machine, the following procedure should be followed after installing the printers. Upon completion of these steps, it will be possible to alternate between utilizing the two printers in the most efficient manner available.
Editing the Job Profile
- Open EII Console
- Select Job Profile Editor
- Scroll down to the Tag Printer section
- Enter the Serial Number of the printer that will be used into the corresponding field
- Select Save Changes
- Close the Job Profile Editor
Utilization of Both Printers
- When finalizing the mailing, select USPS Reports
- Select the Finalize tab
- Scan the mail piece's Piece ID barcode
- Select Labeler in the taskbar at the top of the Console
- Select the serial number of the printer to be utilized while printing placards
- Once placard printing has been completed, select Labeler and change the printer to the serial number of the printer to be used when printing tray tags
NOTE: THE SERIAL NUMBER FIELD WILL ONLY BE POPULATED UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES. IF UTILIZED FOR ANY OTHER REASON, ISSUES MAY ARISE THAT WILL HINDER PRODUCTION.
